Maggie's Story...
Initial Bio 04/17/13: Maggie has been in her foster home for two weeks now and is adjusting nicely. She is an absolute sweetheart, and loves to be near you and sit in your lap. She would be happy in the car going anywhere with you. Maggie is very skittish and timid, and absolutely needs to go to a home with no children, preferably no visiting small children, either. Maggie only weighs 6.8 pounds, and is tiny, if a teeny bit chunky!

Maggie is an owner-surrender who had been with her family for at least ten years. Originally she was abandoned as a puppy and left in the bed of their truck. They thought it was someone who worked nearby & left Maggie because they had a sticker on their truck that read, 'I Love Yorkies'. They kept her after unsuccessfully trying to figure out who had done this.

As the years went by, the family went from no children, to five children, and Maggie is just not happy there now. She spent the days under the bed, because she was terrified to be underfoot with all the activity. Once all the children were in bed, she came downstairs for her cuddles!

Since she has been with her foster mom, it is apparent that she gets scared easily, but comes around with lots of TLC. Maggie's perfect home is one where someone is home often, perhaps a retired person, or couple, who would love to spoil her! She has become good at going on walks, but also would like to have a backyard. If she gets taken out often, she does well with being housebroken.

If you think you have the perfect home for Maggie, please fill out an application. Maggie has had her dental and is ready to go. She's healthy and cuddly and lovable, and would be so happy to find her last forever home.
