Pebbles's Story...
Pebbles is a sweet Siamese/Calico mix that is approximately 5 years old. Her eyes are a brilliant blue. She cannot figure out why her family brought her here and no longer wanted her and is depressed at the Shelter. We hope a new family will come in soon and meet her so she can return to her outgoing and friendly self. Pebbles was in foster care for a few months, and is now ready to greet visitors at Mt. Pleasant- she is available for adoption now!

You love animals, but can’t adopt? Come on down to the shelter and choose the cat or dog that you would like to sponsor. For as little as $20 per month, you can sponsor a pet and help pay for the cost of their care while they stay at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pebbles, a East Hanover Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in East Hanover, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in East Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
