My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Usually, “Surprise!” means a good thing is happening. Like a surprise birthday party. Or a surprise baby shower. Or a surprise visit from your favorite aunt. But in my case, “Surprise!” meant that I was abandoned at MaxFund. Yep, the door opened and I was pushed inside and the door closed behind me. Once the staff met me though, they felt I was actually the good sort of surprise, so that is what they named me. So let’s start over. Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Surprise.

And let me tell you, I am sure living up to my name. For example, take a look at my eyes. See anything unusual? That’s right, they are two different colors. Some people call that being odd-eyed or bi-colored eyed. The people here call it cute!

I’m a fairly normal sized cat, but I have a huge personality! If you come visit me, chances are I’ll come check you out as soon as you get through the door. I’m very curious and not shy about begging for attention. I’m kind of a flirt too. I’ll rub against your leg, to try to get you to notice me.

Folks here say I’ve also been known to stand up on my hind legs like a prairie dog, and push my head into their hand when getting brushed. If I’m really enjoying the brushing, I’ll flop over on my back and squirm back in forth in delight. I’m a lover girl, for sure! I just know I’d make a wonderful playmate for someone.
