My story

Emma’s adoption fee is $350.

Emma is an 8 year old, 11 lb. Shih Tzu mix. She is spayed, her shots are up to date, she is micro chipped and has recently received a dental. She’s fully house trained.

Emma came into foster care very timid and withdrawn. Over the past few weeks she has started to come out of her shell. When the word” treat” is mentioned, she will do a little dance for you. Her tail is starting to wag and she is now playing with the other dogs in the house. She has recently started to bark a little too. Emma is a picky eater, but she does enjoy chewing on dental chew stix and loves going for car rides and for walks. Emma likes to be in the same room with her humans and sleeps at the foot of the bed. She will call out for you if she cannot find you.

Emma would do best in a quiet home with no small children as she does not like a lot of commotion and noise – she’d be a great companion for someone who is home during the day. She is good with strangers and other dogs her own size. Emma does not like her ears to be touched; you can pet her head with no issues, but if you try to touch her ears, she will pull away from your hand. Emma is not destructive and does not need to be crated when left alone. If you think this sweet little one is the companion that you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
