Lexi is ready for someone to take her by the paw and show her what a great life really looks like! Lexi is a 10 month old, spayed, fawn and white American Pit Bull Terrier who is currently waiting for the perfect family to give her a forever home!
Lexi has been surrounded by love her whole life, but has been thrown around from house to house and through some unusual circumstances ended up with an elderly woman who isn’t capable of raising an energetic puppy like Lexi. Lexi has learned quite a bit in her 10 months like sit, lay down and she is completely house broken and crate trained! Lexi has completed the Puppy and Intermediate training classes at PetSmart but will need a person or family who is committed to getting her on the right track with training and manners! Through her life experiences Lexi hasn’t had much time to get out and see the world, to meet lots of people and lots of other creatures, and she is a sweet girl but she is unsure of the world (she’s the sweet and sensitive type) and needs lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement to help show her how great life is and how much fun it is to meet new people! Lexi is often cautious when meeting strangers, but quickly warms up, and with lots of socialization in her new home she’ll definitely blossom into her true self and be a happy, wiggly typical pit bull! Because she is a puppy Lexi will also require enough exercise to keep her healthy and happy! Lexi needs a home with no cats and because she still has lots to learn, prefers a home with older children or no children. Lexi has been around other dogs and has played at local dog parks with all sorts of dogs, so a home with other dogs is okay!
Puppies are a lot of work, and Lexi is no exception, but the love you will get in return for the rest of Lexi’s life will be completely worth it!! This gorgeous girl needs some confidence building and a little training, but she is highly motivated by treats and toys, and is ready and eager to learn! She is devoted to her people and will be your faithful companion to her very last breath! Won’t you give her the life she deserves?
