Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hilo was found in the middle of the street at 16th street and McDowell, and after two hours of trying to catch him, his pursuer was successful. He turned him into the pound and then called us and begged us to rescue him. Hilo is a frightened puppy of only about a year old. When he first came to us all he wanted to do is hide and become invisible. In the two weeks that we have had him, we have had him in intense training and rehabilitation and Hilo has come a very long way, but still has a long way to go. Whoever adopts him will get some free training lessons with Hilo's awesome trainer, Dave Caramico, Empowered K9 Training. Dave will show you some easy ways to keep socializing Hilo and continue bringing out his self confidence. Hilo does very well with other dogs. No matter how afraid he has been, he has not bitten anyone, I think he may be good with children for that reason, and kids may help him along in his quest to be a braver more confident rottie. Cats are unknown, but a good possibility. We have had him at the vet and had a complete blood panel run to make sure that he wasn't ill and it came back normal.
