Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.
PLEASE CLICK ON "READ MORE ABOUT THIS PET" FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION!
If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Brody is the sweetest 4-5 month old purebred bluetick coonhound who was picked up as a stray and not reclaimed. He was rescued and is now being fostered for a 501c3 rescue in Lakeville. He is crate trained and housetrained when let out often. He sleeps right through the night tucked in with one of the kids in his foster home. Brody weighs 28 pounds and was just neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and has a HomeAgain microchip. He is very sweet with everyone he meets and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Brody will need a fenced yard and someone home much of the time. He is a very cuddly boy and very calm inside the house. He knows how to sit and comes when he's called. Brody's adoption fee of $300 is to cover his neuter, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, flea/tick prevention and his microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
