Huey's Story...
This is Huey. Huey was brought to SLO Animal shelter when he was picked up in Arroyo Grande. Though he came in with a blue nylon collar with a bell on it his owner did not come to redeem him. Huey was posted on craigslist by Befriended Felines in the "found" section but his owner has not come forward so he is now up for adoption.
Huey has special powers as a tame mouser cat. He has boundless energy and is feisty and playful. He would make a great shop cat. He likes people and he loves to be occupied. Mice are definitely on his agenda as a preoccupation. Anything that moves for that matter. He is wiley and smart. He should be an indoor/outdoor cat and have access to his humans whether in a working environment or a home.

Huey was already neutered when he came to us but he is now current on his shots, was recently flea treated and tested negative for Fiv/Felv.
We love this intelligent, nonchalant, tail twitching, feline. The Bruce Lee of his species.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huey, a San Luis Obispo Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in San Luis Obispo, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in San Luis Obispo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Luis Obispo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Luis Obispo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Luis Obispo paves the way for another one to be saved.
