My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thor is a small male Great Pyrenees mix (65 lbs.) who was rescued from a shelter in KY and traveled to our Rescue in Minnesota. We think he is at least half Great Pyrenees and possibly Golden Retriever or Siberian Husky. It is hard to tell what, if anything, Thor may have other than Pyrenees as he just looks like a small Pyr. Thor is mostly white with golden brown and has a Pyrenees coat. He is a little fuzz head with freckles across his nose and everyone who meets him thinks he is really cute! It is hard not to smile when you meet Thor.

Thor has a lot of energy (in fact his nickname is Thorpedo!) and he is young at about one year of age. Thor is more puppy than dog in his behavior. He rides great in a car and is completely house trained. He is alone 8 hours a day and there have been no incidents.

Thor is well on his way with basic obedience and is proving to be a very smart dog. He walks well on leash and knows sit, down and come. He can also sit pretty when he is asking for a treat. Overall he is a nice little Pyr with a lot of potential. He just wants to play and follow us around. Thor really likes other dogs, but we are not sure about cats. Thor dearly wants a squirrel, and this behavior may include cats too. Thor is fostered with a female Pyr and they are great friends.

Thor is neutered, up to date on all shots, and in fine health. We would like to see him adopted by a family that can give him exercise and love. An adoption application, site visit, secure visible fencing and an adoption fee are required to adopt Thor.
