Dolly's Story...
This is our pretty girl Dolly. Dolly is a beautiful black, appears to be purebred, girl who is about 2 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She has a pretty shiny soft coat, is a good girl who loves life and definitely has personality plus. Dolly gets along great with everyone and loves to romp and play with other dogs. She is the master of playtime and loves playing catch me if you can. She also likes to play tug o war and throw her toys in the air. Dolly gets pretty excited and probably would not do well with the kitties – the chase would be on. Before she went for her vetting, she was fostered in a home with 3 children, the youngest being 5 and loved every minute of it. Dolly would do great in any family situation and would love to go for long walks, be a great running partner, romp in the backyard and chase those tennis balls. She is very eager to please and would be a fast learner in any of the obedience classes. Dolly would be considered medium to high energy. Dolly is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. She is on flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative. Dolly is also house trained and crate trained. If you would be interested in hearing more about Dolly, please indicate her in the notes section of the online application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Salem Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
