Hi my name is Lupita.
The vet says I am around 1 yrd old. I was found as a stray; but DRWB rescued me!
When first rescued I was at the vets office for a whole month but I am healthy now! I have a scar on my back, but that does not stop me from being happy and active.
I am living with a foster parent and foster friends; I am SUPER active, smart, and get along with ALL (kids, adults, dogs). I am loving, love to play, hey! I am even gentle with a few puppies that live with my foster.
I go on a pee pee pad!! I live indoors but my foster lets me go out to the patio as well.
I am looking for my forever loving family! I need one who is very active!!!

Our pets are all cared for in foster homes. While in foster care, their foster family is making sure they receive lots of tender loving care and have any veterinary needs taken care of. This also gives the foster family an opportunity to learn about the dog's personality, so we can better assist you in selecting a dog that will be the best fit for you and your family.

Submit your adoption application to us. It may take a few days before your application is processed and you receive a response back.
If your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a "Meet & Greet".
If we have an upcoming adoption event.
We will set a time for you to come meet the dog that day, usually on Saturdays. Please make sure you take any family members and other dogs to see how the initial introduction goes.
If we DON’T have an upcoming adoption event.
And you have other dogs:
We will schedule to meet you, any family members, and other dogs near your home first; this makes the entry into the new home easier for the dog and for your family.
And you don’t have any other dogs:
We will schedule to meet you and any family members at your home.
Meet your prospective new pet. Spend time with them and see how it goes.
If your "Meet & Greet" goes well and you wish to adopt; you will complete an adoption contract at the appointment. We ask for a suggested adoption donation to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food, supplies and temporary care. These suggested donation amounts only partially cover the cost of expenses involved. Your donation is tax deductible. It’s that easy!
Take your new best friend home! Congratulations – you have saved a special life.
What if the adoption doesn't work out?
You can return any of our dogs as we don't want to see them turned into a shelter. The application process helps prevent such an issue, so it's very important that you are honest when answering the questions.
Not all dogs are compatible in all situations, so it is imperative that you are forthright in the application process to find the right match. However, be sure you are ready to make a full commitment to adopting a dog, whether a puppy or an adult.
It can take up to a few weeks for a dog to really adjust to his/her new environment. A lot really depends on the dog's past so the prospect of adopting should be well-thought-out & the commitment should be taken seriously.
