Saint's Story...
Meet Saint – Hi I’m Saint. I was walking around Denver Harbor in April 2013 with my friend Tiger when these nice ladies drove up. They offered us treats so we decided to go for a ride. They took me to the vet hospital to get fixed and after that, they decided to find me a real home so I wouldn’t have to live on the street anymore.
I’m about 1 ½ years old and only weigh around 18 lbs. I’ve been fully vetted and neutered and boy, am I ready for a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saint, a Houston Border Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a Border Terrier dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier breeders who help with Border Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
