My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darcy is a lively and spirited 1.5 year-old Cattledog/Boxer mix female with a beautiful orange brindle coat. She waited patiently at Canine Lifeline for a second chance at life but it didn't happen. She's hoping she has better luck here at Friendship. Darcy loves playing with other dogs but is very active so can come on a little strong for some dogs. If she's to have a canine companion in her new home, it should be another active young dog who likes to wrestle and play chase. She's very friendly and affectionate with people but needs work on obedience and leash manners since it's likely that no one has ever spent anytime training her. Once all that puppy energy is channeled in the right direction, she'll be a happier and more settled dog. After playtime, she does settle nicely in her cage so is not on the go constantly. She'll make a great walking or jogging buddy for an active family who wants a dog that can keep up with them. She weighs about 45 pounds.

DARCY HAS BEEN SELECTED TO BE ONE OF OUR PRISON DOGS. SHE WILL SPEND 8-12 WEEKS TRAINING IN OBEDIENCE AND MANNERS AT THE GRAFTON CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION. SHE STARTED HER TRAINING AT THE PRISON ON MAY 06, 2013. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DARCY, ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED. THEY CAN BE DOWNLOADED AT www.friendshipapl.org, BUT MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE SHELTER. ANY QUESTIONS CALL 440-322-4321.
