Rango's Story...
Hi my name is Rango. I am a handsome looking little stud muffin, weigh about 25 lbs and am a looking for my forever home. Everyone thinks I am a Welsh Corgi Shetland Sheepdog mix - but you know what - only I know for sure! That is my secret.

I came to Paws 4 Humanity Inc when I wandered onto a family's property here in Jacksonville, FL. Since I was a stray, they took me to the closest vet to check for a microchip, and I did not have one. The good Samaritan family took me in and tried to find my owners, but no one came for me even with all of the posters and flyers that were circulating in the area. Calls were made to the local shelters and veterinarians, there were even postings on facebook and craigslist, no one came for me. I was so disappointed that my original family no longer wanted me. I am a very good boy and am very loyal and loving. The good Samaritan family had two other dogs who wanted to eat me for dinner so they could not keep me and called Paws 4 Humanity Inc. Paws 4 Humanity Inc came and rescued me and I am now safe and happy in a foster home but now am looking to find my forever home.

Paws 4 Humanity Inc thinks that I am a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Shetland sheepdog mix, but you know what, the only thing that matters is that I am a handsome guy looking for a family that will love me, care for me and make my story a happily ever after.

I am house trained, and am very good in my crate, and am obedience trained. I am very protective of my family and want to be the only dog in the household as I want to make up for lost time and get all of the love and attention that I so deserve. At the same time I am a very lovable guy and want to give my new family the love and compassion that I know I can give and undying thanks for giving me a home. I am great around older kids, adults but probably should not be around cats as my herding instincts from the sheltie in my DNA drives me to want to play chase me games. I am a very protective little guy and bond very heavily with my family which is why I should be the only dog in the household.

I love to go for walks, love to play and fetch with a toy or tennis ball, and enjoy my one on one quality time with my family. Now it is time for me to find my forever family and I hope it is you! If you would like to meet me and see for yourself what a handsome, loving and loyal guy that I really am please contact Paws 4 Humanity at 904 771-9516 or shoot them an email to to request an adoption application which is the first step in their adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved you will then be able to meet yours truly and see for yourself that I am so deserving of a forever home. I look forward to meeting you soon! Love and kisses - Rango.
