Rafael's Story...
Hi! my name is Rafael and I am looking for a loving, furever home. I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. Someone dumped my 2 brother and I there. Some not very nice people took my brothers (probably to use to breed) and left me. The good news for me was that I was rescued by wonderful people. I am being fostered in Long Island and my foster family loves me. My foster mom will drive me to New Jersey for an initial meet and greet if you cannot meet me in Long Island. They say I am great with their dogs, fine with cats and love all people. I love to play with the other dogs and really like to snuggle in someone's lap on the couch. I am about a year old, 40 lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative. I promise you a lifetime of love and fun :)). If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Can't wait to meet you. Love and Kisses Rafi :))

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rafael, a Madison Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Madison, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
