Mrs. Paws's Story...
We have no idea how Mrs Paws ended up with her leg in an animal trap in the desert, but she was fortunate that someone found her, and took her to AZ Humane Society. When Yavapai Humane found out about her and that she was at risk for euthanasia, they took her. They performed amputation on her rear leg, and treated her for gangrene. She had a slow recovery, but did eventually recover from her ordeal. She was adopted by a person who lived in a second story apartment, and then returned a month later when they realized that she couldn't do stairs very well. You would never know what she has been through though, because she has moved past it. She manages well on her 3 legs, in fact, she's out there walking like she has 4 legs! She has a gentle, kind disposition. She will make an awesome family dog, or to a single person. For her it doesn't matter, she will love you no matter what. She is an awesome dog, and if you come down to meet her, you will see why we are so in love in with her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mrs. Paws, a Gilbert Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
