Athena's Info...

Athena's Story...
Athena is 2 yrs old. She is incredibly sweet, loveable and on the smaller side about 45 lbs.
She has had a rough road, she was brought into the shelter as a stray with severe wounds due to a dog attacking her.
After all that she has been through, that didn't break her spirit, she is such a sweet and gentle girl, she does surprisingly well with other dogs and good with cats.
She is a little timid, but once she warms up, she is all over your lap. She thrives on your love and attention and has a lot to give back. She is crate trained and house trained. Responds very well to voice command.
If you would like to meet this gentle girl, she will be at the Natomas Marketplace Petsmart on the weekend from Noon - 3pm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Sacramento American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
