Hutch's Story...
"Howdy, everyone! My name is HUTCH, and I'm a super-cute 10-month-old Terrier-mix boy who's looking for a new home. My brother (Starsky) and I got lost, so we're here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter waiting for a person or family to adopt us. Starsky and I love each other, so while we know we'd be fine if we got adopted separately, we'd be tickled if you could adopt us both. We'd get along great with kids, and we know you'd have a lot of fun with us. We love people, so we appreciate those belly rubs, and we sure enjoy snuggling. The shelter staff isn't sure yet if we've been house trained, so they're still watching us. Please come visit us real soon. We're ready to start our new lives, and we're ready to have someone who will love us forever. Love, Hutch" Kennel #54

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hutch, a El Cajon Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
