Georgia's Story...
Hi, I'm Georgia!

People tell me I look just like Kate Bosworth ( which I'm totally fine with now that she is not so skinny) because we share beautiful blond hair and different colored eyes. I think the resemblance probably stops there, though. She was the only good thing about the remake of Superman, that's for sure. Anyways, enough about Kate; let's get back to Georgia! I'm a sweet 1 year old Husky mix who was found wandering around alone in a local neighborhood. One of the dog guardian angels who lives there noticed me and brought me to Friends for Life. She could tell right away I was a family pet just missing a small piece of the family! So this is where you come in...will you be my new family? I'll need a home with lots of love, energy, and attention to spare because I'm a very social girl by nature, and of course Huskies are known for their interest in hard work and for their conversational skills. That's right...we can talk! So come on down and let's get to know each other better!

Love, Georgia

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgia, a Houston Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Houston, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
