Hi, My name is Miss Lucy! I am approximately 2 years old, I weigh 14 pounds and I am a Bichon puppy with maybe some poodle in me according to the Vet. I was adopted from the Ventura Animal Shelter in August. I had to be shaved immediately due to a little flea problem I developed when I was wondering the streets. Those pesky fleas are all gone now, and so is most of my hair!! I feel a little insecure without my usual “flowing mane”, so please don’t poke fun at me. Not to bee too stuck up, but I must say I have the most beautiful brown eyes known to any dog. Now that we have established my good looks, I am sure you would like to know a little about my personality. I am quite content to sit and play quietly most of the day, except, however, if the doorbell rings. Ringing doorbells make me very excited!! I love to keep busy during the day by taking walks, eating treats and staring loving into the eyes of my foster mom. My foster mom is wonderful. She told me that I must admit that I will sometimes bark at other dogs and people when we are out for our walks. I think it’s quite natural to use the only voice I have, but she insists that it’s “naughty” behavior that I must work on this and disclose it to any prospective adopters. My Foster Mom also thinks I'd do best in a house where I am the only dog, because I like a lot of attention and get jealous if you give your attention to anyone else. I promise to be faithful to you, if you are faithful to me!! I am quite a perfect dog if I do say so myself. If you are looking for a cuddly pup who would sleep next to you and sometimes on you while we are on the couch or in bed together, then we might be a perfect match. I have been taking puppy classes, and I have 2 left. If you adopt me right away, we might be able to go to those together. Wouldn’t that be fun?? I’m looking for someone to love, are you?
