Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Teya: 8 yrs old 70 lb chocolate female spayed
Teya was purchased as a puppy from a breeder and has lived with her family all her life. Sadly, finding that they would have to re-locate, and unable to take Teya to their new home, they asked Lab Rescue to find a family who would love and care for her as they have all her life. Teya is youthful for her age. She loves to play with her ball, and swimming is another big favorite activity. Teya is fit and trim, and would be a wonderful hiking companion. Once she has had her exercise, Teya is an easy presence in the home, calmly entertaining herself with a chew toy. Teya walks well on the leash and loves to go along with her people for car rides. Her foster mom reports that Teya is gentle and patient with the family's toddler and that she is very responsive, eager to please and receive positive attention. This will make it easy for her new family to acclimate her to the home by clearly communicating the "rules of the house", as she is a quick and willing learner. Teya does well with other dogs she meets when out and about and plays nicely with her Fosters' dog, but she is primarily a "people dog", so we would like her to go to a family where someone will be around most of the time to give her the guidance and companionship she needs and enjoys. Her foster also feels she would be fine with a dog-savvy cat.
Here is what her Foster has to say:
"Teya is adjusting well and we feel comfortable gradually giving her a little more freedom in the house each day. Over the weekend, we had a lot of people over, both adults and children, and she was totally calm and happy with people everywhere. We have taken her shopping to Santana Row and she did great. Teya and our dog, Rose, like to wrestle playfully and are great on walks together. Teya is a nice, easy addition to our household."
