ABO's Story...
Talk about a luck...Abo and his sister Abby were found by someone who was hunting for their lost dog and cared enough to take in two little pups until help could be found. (The lost dog has since also been found!) Abby and Abo were found dodging dirt haulers on the 303 construction site. These two little ones were left to fend for themselves and had been surviving on garbage bins and mesquite seeds/pods. Abo is the more independent of the two and seems to watch out for little short legged Abby. He plays hard and then falls asleep so soundly that he snores a tad! He loves to play and seems to enjoy all dogs. Just remember that Abo is a BABY so of course he is working on his house training so remember before you apply to have a plan in place as he needs to go out to potty every three hours! The rule for pups is the bladder can hold 1 hour per month of age and this baby boy is only three months old. Abo needs a family who is ready to commit to him for the next 12 to 15 years and will make him part of all of the things life may toss their way... moving, additions of family members or job changes. Being abandoned once in life is enough for this little tenderheart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ABO, a Scottsdale Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
