Captain Hook's Story...
Hi there, my name is Captain Hook and I am 5 months old. My siblings and I were born to a stray mom and were discovered hiding in a blackberry bush. I was very nervous of people when I first arrived in foster care, but it didn't take me long to realize that having humans wait on me hand-and-foot is a pretty good life. I get fresh water, food and bedding at least twice a day and lots of time to play with my friends in the exercise pen. I am the by far the most playful and rambunctious kitten in my litter. I love to reach out of my kennel and play with the hair of everyone who passes by. My most unique feature is my hooked tail; it is bent right in half! If you would like to meet by friends and I, please come to VPAS and say hello.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain Hook, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
