Zoe's Story...
Zoe is back - she was adopted and returned to our rescue because of issues with meeting other dogs on walks, some of which were loose, that the adopter was not willing to work with. She is a pretty mix around 2 years old of unknown heritage, although her markings are suggestive of Border Collie. Not much is known about her background except that her family dropped her off at a high-kill pound. Zoe is a quiet girl who would probably be uncomfortable around busy young children. She chooses her canine friends carefully and should be an only dog. Zoe is good in the car and loves going for walks. At 53 pounds, she is a good size for someone looking for a dog that is not too big and not too small. Zoe would do best in a semi-rural or rural home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoe, a Rigaud Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Border Collie for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Border Collie breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
