Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at the photo of Rex and you will fall in love instantly. He is a one year old Shepherd mix. Rex was surrendered to the shelter because his family moved and couldn't take him with them. Rex was recently trained at the Grafton Correctional Facility and adopted. His family brought him back to the shelter because he was too active for them and he was crated for sometimes 8-10 hours a day. Rex knows his basic commands and obedience. He will thrive with a dog savvy owner. He is house trained. This fellow is a great car rider and is fine with other dogs and cats. He has a high energy level and can jump the fence at Friendship. Rex would love to be a member of an active family or someone's running partner. He needs lots of exercise and a fenced in yard wouldn't hurt either. He loves people young and old and he would love to finally find his forever home.
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
