Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murphy was a puppy mill rescue. He and his 2 brothers were never sold and the mill just kept them living in a cage for 9 months. Murphy is the only one our rescue took in. The other 2 went with other rescue groups. Murphy was so scared setting in a cage with several people looking at him that no body even bothered to realize his little foot had been stuck in the wire floor for hours. He just laid there and shook. He was huddled in the back and wouldnt even look up. When I touched him he just froze with fear. There was no way I could leave him any longer with those people. As I carried him to the car (smelling awful) He was so nervous that he even started to poo as I carried him. I dont think he has ever had a kind hand touch him. It was one of those very sad moments that you just cant believe. People that do this to these poor babies will some day have to answer for it. Murphy now has a name as you see, he is running free in a large back yard, had his bath/nail clipping, and also a good meal whenever he wants. Murphy will need a home that is willing to work with him as he is not leash trained, or house trained. He does not know anything about living in a home and has never even heard the noise of a tv, washing machine, running bath water, a dishwasher, or even a can opener. He will not come to you as he is scared of people right now. So Murphy will need a fenced yard so he can go out to potty since he has never been on a leash or been walked. Everything will be new to him so please keep that in mind when and if you decide to meet him. Murphy will not be the type of dog that is going to run up to you with his tail wagging and want to give you kisses. If you come to meet him please dont expect him to be that perfect dog. He will need time to adjust to everything. He has had a terrible start to his life up until now. A quiet home would be best for him right now until he knows its ok to be loved by humans. Murphy is only 9 months old so he is young enough to over come his horrible past and be a great dog if given the chance. Please let us know if you have any questions about Murphy or if you would like to meet him. Thank you for reading his story.
