Wilson is a 1yr old, 53lb, male brown and white pit mix with some of the most adorable freckles you will ever find. We rescued him from a high kill shelter where he quickly became loved by all of the volunteers that came in contact with him. He did amazing on his behavior evaluation and scored great in all areas including food guarding, toy guarding and dog to dog. Wilson is such an easy going guy, he really would do ideal in any type of family situation. Read what one volunteer had to say about him: "Wilson is so gorgeous and so obviously well taken care of I couldn't wait to take this guy out for a walk. The very first thing he did when I leashed him was to stand up and give me a hug and a kiss. YUM! He relieved himself as soon as we were out of the building so is likely housetrained. I took some time to admire his freckled nose, well groomed caramel coat and handsome physique; he's a looker! Wilson is a friendly, happy boy - wagging his tail constantly at people we pass, and wanting to play with other dogs. His tail wags appropriately in invitation at all we meet. Wilson posed for his photos like a pro, making wonderful soft eye contact, sitting when I asked him to and taking treats gently. He's awesome! I sat down to take some notes, and Wilson joined me on the bench, placing his upper body in my lap and snuggling in for some loving. He's super affectionate, and has no idea he didn't quite fit on my lap! He was relaxed and content nonetheless, happy to have a new friend and getting some hugs. He's a big mushy baby who is looking for his new BFF. I can't imagine anything better than to have Wilson greeting me at the end of my day, or in the middle, or in the morning."
