Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update: Percy was groomed yesterday and was wonderful on the grooming table. Jumped up on her own and just laid down waiting for whatever was going to happen. She is doing well on her crate training although she still doesn't like to go in it. Our biggest accomplishment this week is that she let 2 different males pet her. It was in a controlled situation with guidance but she allowed it to happen with no growling or barking. Although we are still recommending a female home it appears with some structure, training and guidance, she could learn to tolerate men.
Percy was surrendered to us by her owners as Percy does not like men and could not learn to live with the husband. Her owners had only had her a short time and were not informed of her extreme distrust of men. She has been placed in a foster home for evaluation but it does appear a home with only a female would be best at this time. Whatever trauma Percy went through prior to her recent owners obtaining her must have been horrid to cause her reaction. If you are female she is a huge baby and will do anything you ask. Percy was spayed, brought current on her shots and started on heartworm prevention by per previous owners. We are going to clean her teeth as it is needed. She is guessed to be around 6 yrs old. As we learn more about Percy we will update her page and pictures are coming soon.
