Tony's Story...
Dude, I’m Tony. Got a tennis ball? Well go get one man, I wanna play! See, it’s not easy having a heart as big as mine… It gets tiring lugging this thing around all day…so I’ve got to keep this ol’ bod in tip-top shape so I can carry this loving heart around for the rest of my life! I’m a happy boy who just needs some guidance and a patient hand to help me reach my full potential as a well-trained family pet. I am sweet and social with other animals. Affectionate and playful with kids plus I do know a couple basics, but let’s just say a little more training wouldn’t do me no harm. So, let’s say you come meet me right away? And don't forget to bring the tennis ball! 1 year old-58lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tony, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
