Leo's Story...
Leo was rescued from a local animal shelter. He was in rough shape, thin with alot of scratches. The shelter did not feel he was "pretty enough" to be adopted, so our rescue pulled him out. Leo is a complete love bugand he like to talk! He's just a big boy with a ton of love to give. Sadly, Leo has feline leukemia, so he must go to a home with no other cats or other cats with feline leukemia. This poor boy has had a rough start to his life, can you help give him the love and life he deserves? He is very bonded to another cat that was brought into the rescue (who is also FeLV positive) named Layla. Leo protects and loves little Layla- showing what a truly caring soul he is:)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Chesterfield Township Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chesterfield Township, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chesterfield Township.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chesterfield Township already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chesterfield Township breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chesterfield Township paves the way for another one to be saved.
