Luke is Adopted
Luke is currently fostered in Shelby Ohio, and his adoption donation is $250
Luke Update: 7-6-13
Luke has been adopted and returned, he is the happiest little cocker at his foster home, and there are NO problems at all with him when it comes to his foster parents.
He does not do well with change however, he needs time to settle in and adjust WITHOUT being overwhelmed with people he doesnt know loving on him or doing things to him before he is ready.
Once he knows his person/family, he is wonderful, but again, if he is not given the proper adjustment time (about a week), he can become fearful with strangers and bite.
His foster parents have no problem with him AT ALL!!!
He is a great dog, they allowed him the time he needed to get used to them and there has not been any issues.
He is a happy go lucky cocker, he loves his foster family, and the other dogs, and he is housetrained, crate trained.
We do not want to have him adopted and returned again, he really truly is not a mean or aggressive dog, he only has trouble with a change of enviornment and getting used to people he doesnt know.
After proper time and introduction, he is a LOVER boy, and does so very well!!!!
If his foster parents didnt already have other dogs, they could easily adopt him, but they are not in the position to do so, and want to see Luke find a forever home that understands that he just needs a little time and patience in the beginning, then he will blossom into the true Lover boy that he is!!!
Luke is a 2 yr old male, golden/buff colored cocker spaniel with a full/natural tail.
He came to us from a shelter in Medina Ohio where he was facing euthanasia.
Luke is a nice little boy, he is on the smaller side for a cocker.
He loves to play tug of war, and fetch, he will return the ball to you when called.
Luke is housetrained, crate trained, and gets along very well with other dogs.
He loves to cuddle up on your lap and is a sweet affectionate boy.
Luke walks well on a leash, and enjoys going for walks, he does have a bad habit of jumping up on you, and counter surfing, which his foster is training him not to do.
Overall, he is a great little cocker, but we do not know how he is with small children.
Luke is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
