Charlie's Story...
My name is Charlie. The vet said that I am about 2 years old. I am so lucky because I was rescued by a cat lover. I almost got hit by cars a couple of times and she saw what was happening and came to my rescue. She called Diane at Feral Cat Rescue and fortunately for me, she was able to find a foster to take me. I am super friendly. I love attention from people and I would make someone a wonderful companion because I do enjoy so much attention from people. When I first met my fellow foster kitties I was a little shy at first but I have warmed up to them just fine. I need to find a human family of my own. Could that be you? Would you like to meet me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Great Mills Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Mills, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Great Mills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Mills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Mills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Mills paves the way for another one to be saved.
