Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hiccup, at less than 8 weeks old, was an unwanted stray. He was taken to SPCA Valleyfield and then found his way to Animatch. He might have some Shepherd in his genetic makeup – whatever his mix, he is a gorgeous Mutt who will steal your heart with his winning personality and very cute face. If you want to help a puppy grow up to be a good dog, you could consider adopting Hiccup. He is full of curiosity and very interested in his surroundings; he would be so grateful if you picked him. Before applying to adopt a puppy, please do a reality check. Whether you adopt a Chihuahua or a Great Dane, all dogs need care and attention, and puppies even more so. Potty training, exercise, obedience training, socializing, and playing ... the list is long and time consuming. It is not right to leave a Hiccup alone for hours at a time, day in and day out. He could very well get into trouble if he was left unattended and to his own devices and the outcome can be catastrophic. He needs someone who is present during the day to get him off to a good start. He will require regular handling and contact with humans and other dogs. Training a puppy to go outside is a matter of supervision, avoidance, and patience; it is not fair to Hiccup to expect him to hold the entire day or more than 2-3 hours. Puppies must have physical activity but they can also learn through combining training and play. You should tire out that little body, both physically and mentally. Having a puppy can be challenging and frustrating if you don’t have a plan and you have not done your research. This could very well be the reason that Hiccup found himself at 8 weeks old unwanted and roaming the street. Hiccup is ready to rock your world. It’s the start of a brand new day for this lovable, little goof and he is more than ready to continue his journey to a happy forever home.
