Mia's Story...
Momma Mia is a purely amazing 2 year old dog that came to us with her 5 babies (Tugg, Chubbs, Diamond, Max, and Dolly) and her three older kids (Valerie, Rach, and Samantha) who were all living under a boat in rural Ohio. We took the family of 9 off the streets and into our care, and spayed and neutered everyone. Now we are working hard to get them all forever homes.
There aren't enough good things to say about Mia. She is an awesome dog. Calm, sweet, and affectionate. She is housebroken and crate trained, great on a leash, and has never met a stranger. She is great with other dogs and has tested well with cats, and is awesome with kids. She is very much the "mothering" type and everyone loves her. She is very quiet and just wants a laid back home to live out her life with a comfy couch.
Mia is spayed, UTD on shots, HW neg, chipped, and fully vetted. Her adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt Mia at www.fidosrescueandrehab.petfinder.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Lancaster Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
