George's Story...
Friendly six-month old George is neutered, litter trained and ready to go home. George began his life as a bottle-fed pampered foster pet. He and his sister, Rambler, were adopted as a pair and lived the lives of indoor cats. The adopter fell on bad times and could no longer keep them so George and Rambler are back in foster care, not having as much fun as they'd like, and await their new forever families to notice them. This little guy is young and has lots to offer as an indoor pet.
The adoption fee is $40. Call today 225-252-5138 or email: FelicianaAnimalWelfareSociety@yahoo.com Visit WWW.FAWS.PETFINDER.COM to view all of our pets that are up for adoption. "Friend" us at Feliciana FAWS.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Clinton American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Clinton, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
