Lilly's Story...
Hi my name is Lilly and I'm a little shy. You see I lived all my life (2-4 years) in this pen with chicken wire bottom that hurt my feet. I heard people say it was something called a puppy mill. I don't know what that is but I know I am the cause of a lot of puppies being born! I lost my only baby that was born and was shipped away the next day! I was so sad! They told me I will never have to live like that again and I can just be a dog! My foster mommy bathed me, fed me and loved me to make me feel and smell good! I do need lots of love. I'm afraid of loud noises and new things but I'm learning they won't hurt me. I love to snuggle with you and lay in the crook of you neck or on you shoulder. Please fill out an application if you are interested in having me as your forever friend, I could use one! I will be available after May 22, after being spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Sinking Spring Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Sinking Spring, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Sinking Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sinking Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sinking Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sinking Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
