This is Sonny, a 2 year old puggle mix. He weighs approximately 25-30lbs. He was found wandering the streets of Detroit with my girl, Cher (adopted). We are friendly dogs and loved to play with the neighborhood children. But a nice police officer contacted POET, they thought we were too sweet to live on the streets.

Sonny is a bundle of play, but at the end of the day when he gets sleepy he is ready to be loved on and cuddle up right next to you! He is about 90% potty trained. He is good with other dogs when properly introduced, he is very interested in cats, with some training he could learn to leave them alone. Sonny is very good with kids and would make a perfect dog for a family with young children, someone that would play with him as much as possible, he loves tug-a-war and running around a big yard. A fenced in yard would be ideal, Sonny likes to wander a bit, he is learning to listen when told to come though. Sonny absolutely loves swimming in the lake and is just an all around awesome loving dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Garden City Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
