Magnolia's Story...
Magnolia (aka Maggie) is a true Southern lady!! She was brought into a high kill shelter in Louisiana as a stray. No owner came forward and the sweet, skinny girl found herself on the euthanasia list on his 8th day at the pound. Luckily, she had become a volunteer favorite during her stray hold and volunteers begged to get her some time in the adoptable section. Magnolia even got to go to an off site adoption event (where she was a STAR!!) but her time soon ran out at the busy public pound. She was rescued by a local LA group, PAWS of NE LA and is now looking for a northern home thanks to their great partnership with Bonnie Blue Rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Magnolia, a Richmond Pointer/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Border Collie for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pointer/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Border Collie breeders who help with Pointer/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
