Allie's Story...
Allie is a tiny little girl weighing only about 10 pounds at 9 months of age. She won't get much bigger, if any. She is very sweet and although a bit shy at first, warms up quickly to being loved and only wants to sit in your lap. She is lovely with a silky coat and a very pretty Maltese-like tail. She was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter which will never be understood by us rescuers that know what a wonderful loving companion these gentle dogs will turn out to be. If you are interested in learning more about Allie and providing her with a permanent loving home, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net Thanks for your interest.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Brattleboro Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
