Cody's Story...
Cody (fka Chaplin) is a sweet 2-yr old male pit bull mix that was on borrowed time at the Cleveland Animal Control shelter. We just happened to fall upon his photo and find that he had a willing foster home but no rescues that were able to take on another dog, as with most any pit bull rescue you will find they are "full" at all times. We couldn't see this sweet, playful and healthy boy die knowing there was a family out there willing to help him so we stepped in to help him out! Cody is a heatlhy 55-60 lbs and will need to be neutered once he has some time to settle into his foster home. Stay tuned here for updates on Cody! To make a donation towards his care or that of any avail-a-bully please for more info! If you have any questions or are interested in adopting Cody please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Hillsborough Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Hillsborough, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Hillsborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
