Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Some very kind folk found this pretty little girl a few weeks ago at Buddhist Temple in the Sacramento area. They heard that she had been hanging around for a couple days and that people from the community had been feeding her. She was a bit under weight and very dirty and had some ticks but other than that, the vet said, that she is healthy
According to the vet, Freya is a Mini Australian Shepherd/Spaniel Mix, She is about 8 mos. old and weights about 20 lbs, a petite little girl. Freya hasn't been spayed yet and we don't know her vaccination history so she does need the shots and procedure. The people who are caring for her don't have the funds to take care of that so are hoping her adopter will.
She has an incredible personality and just wants to please you; she is very snuggly and affectionate. She has very basic obedience, however still needs work and stimulation. She toilets for the most part outside but still needs a little guidance and support with her house training. She also can handle the crate (just doesn't like it). She has grown to like the leash in the past two weeks.
Freya is just a baby and hasn't yet gotten used to car rides so needs a little help there. She a bit timid of squeaky toys when others do the squeaking and is okay when she does it herself. Yes she is a puppy and likes to chew!
THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
