My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben is the light colored dog and a German Shepard Lab mix. He turned 10 in February. He has been a healthy dog and is up to date with his shots. We recently did his yearly check at the vet, including a blood test and everything is looking great. He has had a full teeth cleaning last year and the vet suggested to repeat a cleaning in about 1-2 years. Ben has no issues with other dogs and is very loving dog. He does get jealous though if he doesn't get enough attention and has growled at our toddler when she gets too close to him too fast, which is one of the reasons why we decided to find a new home. He tends to be great with kids that are older (8 + years ) and doesn't seem to like small babies who don't yet understand boundaries towards his space. He likes to play fetch and loves chasing lights. The only issue we had with Ben is that he has separation anxiety and when I travel and am gone for a few days he gets sad and can get diarrhea, which immediately stops as soon as I am back home. Ben can be very emotional and he isn't a big fan of change.

Pepper is a Boxer Terrier Mix and just turned 8 years last month. She too seems overwhelmed with the energy of very young children yet loves to play with older children. She has tons of energy and loves running circles in the yard! She needs lots of walks and best would be a situation where she can run off- leash a couple times a day. She's is a lover and soaks up all attention she can get. She could and would sit on ones lap all day long! Pepper is very picky with what other dogs. It's pretty much black and white, if she likes a dogs- great. If she doesn't she starts growling and once she got into a fight with another dog. In that situation we weren't sure which dog started the fight and whether Pepper was attacked or whether she attacked , but regardless, since that incident, I always introduce her to a new dog slowly and on the leash to test the waters and see if its a fit.

Ben and Pepper have been together for the last 7 years and in an ideal situation would stay together. They are very attached to each other. Pepper especially doesn't like to be without Ben. It's been a very, very hard decision for us to find a new home but we feel its the best for everyone.

There is a $50 re-homing fee for each dog.
