I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Calvin's Story...
Calvin is a playful 3 month old beagle mix puppy. He was brought into the shelter with his sister Clover, and mom Cassie. They were found abandoned along side a road, which is no place for a mom and her puppies! Calvin is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. Since he is such a young puppy we are looking for a home for him with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him to help teach him how to be a good dog when he grows up. Calvin and Clover are currently living in a foster home, so you would need to set up times to come and meet them. Please visit our website to download the adoption application. Once we have an application we will review it and then set up appointments to meet the puppies. The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-5, and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8.

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Youngwood Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
