Oskar's Story...
This goofy boy is Oskar, who comes to us from a kill shelter down south. He is a red boy who has likely lived outside for most of his life as his coat is so faded in most areas that he almost appears fawn. However, he doesn't know or care as he just loves everyone and has lots of confidence! He's fairly outgoing but is also very calm and loving. Although we don't know is exact age, he is thought to be around 7. He came in with another male and gets along with other dogs (currently his kennel buddy is Peggy). He also should be fine in an apartment or condo setting, as he has reached that wonderfully calm age, but would still enjoy going for walks. He loves to be pet and will follow your hand as you walk away from him after showing him some love to try to get you to continue. Can you find some room in your home and heart for this sweet boy?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oskar, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
