Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Promise is a young brindle girl. She came into foster care on 4/21/13. Currently she is living with 3 senior greyhound females and a senior male Italian greyhound. She is getting along very well with all of them, and although she is not currently living with cats, she passed her cat-test with no problems!
Positive notes: she walks very well on the leash. She jumps into the van easily and seems to enjoy rides, occasionally standing up to look out the window. Promise stays in her kennel when her foster mom is at work and is out with the other dogs the rest of the day and at night for sleeping. She is eating well. She can go up and down stairs with ease. She was good at the veterinarian office and let the vet tech trim and dremel her nails without much ado.
Things being worked upon: learning that unexpected noises and movements are not harmful , for example garbage can lid being dropped back onto the garbage can and foster mom picking up brush to brush her, She is terrified of being bathed, so her learning that a bath can be relaxing and feel good will be a major project. In the meantime bathing consists of being wiped down with baby wipes.
It appears Promise will do best in a home with another dog and someone who is very, very patient with shy, skittish dogs .
