Ava's Story...
Hi there! My name's Ava, what's yours? I'm a 1 1/2 year old husky. I was surrendered at the shelter by my owner because they couldn't care for me anymore. I am a typical high energy husky, and need plenty of exercise. I need a home where I can be the only child...no kids, cats or dogs. I'm up to date on shots, neutered, and have a microchip. Now all I need is someone to love me and give me a home. The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-5, and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8. Come visit me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ava, a Youngwood Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
