Falena's Story...
Meet the beautiful Falena. Her name, which translates into “Butterfly” in Italian, aptly describes this diamond in the ruff. This lovely lady is most likely between 6-8 years old and came into PRA from a shelter after being found as a stray on the street. Although Falena is heartworm positive and has a very treatable skin infection, she is very sweet and playful and enjoys spending time with her foster family and their pug Fylo. Although her foster parents have had her for only a few days, she hasn't had any accidents inside, leading them to believe she has been house-trained at some stage. She is also super smart and teachable and loves to snuggle. This lean little pug will get scooped up fast so apply to adopt Falena today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Falena, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
