Roscoe's Story...
Jelly is a sweet little guy who loves to play and chase a ball. If you sit down on the floor, he will bound over and jump into your lap every time. When you pick him up, he always purrs and nuzzles your nose with his. He really is the Purrfect kitten.

Jelly has a sparkling personality and one of the most unique coats we've ever seen on a cat. He's clearly a tabby - his head has tabby stripes - but his body is mostly snow white with 4 distinct /black dots on his back. He also has a tiny black beauty mark on his nose. His fur is short-hair but very fluffy and soft. Jelly is bold and brave. He gets along fine with other cats and the medium-sized dog in his foster home.

Jelly is about 3 months old. He is FIV/FELV negative and has had his first shots. He will be ready to go home with you when he is neutered on May 31st. At that time, he will also be microchipped and current on all vaccinations. His adoption fee is $85.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
