Ozzie's Story...
Ozzie is a one year-old Domestic Shorthair looking for a new home. His owner had to move back to the Midwest to live with her children, and a cat allergy prevented this playful youngster from moving too.

Ozzie, a neutered male, is a fluffy shorthair with yellow-green eyes. He is nearly all white, with patches of grey and black tabby coloring on his head, back, left side and tail. When he’s not exploring or playing, Ozzie climbs to roost where he can watch the world with eyes half closed, giving him a dignified air.

Ozzie was born in July 2012 and is FIV/FELV negative. He was raised in a multi-dog household, and he is also friendly to other cats and to children. This cat would be a welcome addition to any home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ozzie, a Gilbert Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
