Carey Grant's Story...
Everyone loved Carey Grant and you'll love this one too. Carey is a 3 year old Yorkie mix that was a rescue from another shelter. He's a lovable little guy that not much is known about. Mr. Grant likes some dogs and not others. It's not known if he likes cats. Because of his tiny size it's probably best if kids in the family are over 7 years of age. Stop by for a visit, he may even give you his autograph.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carey Grant, a Elyria Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
